Softball Recap: Gordo Comes Up Short

If Gordo was feeling good fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Demopolis on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Green Wave took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northside Rams on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Green Wave in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost five in a row.

Gordo's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Northside, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-11-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gordo will welcome Sulligent at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Northside, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Hillcrest at 4:30 p.m.
