Baseball Recap: Centennial Broncos vs. Maxwell Wildcats
Centennial was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 13-6 to the Maxwell Wildcats. That's two games in a row now that the Broncos have lost by exactly seven runs.
Centennial saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ruger Webb, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Webb also brought in two RBI, marking his first of the season. Chase Robinson was another, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs.
Centennial's record is now 0-11. As for Maxwell, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5.
Looking ahead, Centennial will be playing in front of their home fans against Holdrege at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Broncos are facing the Dusters at the right time seeing as the Dusters are stuck on a three-game losing streak. Maxwell does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
