Softball Recap: Duncan Wildkats vs. St. David Tigers

Duncan had lost three straight at home, but on Monday they dropped down to 8-14 to make it four. They lost 26-1 to the St. David Tigers. Having soared to a lofty 25 runs in the game before, the Wildkats couldn't push the score so high this time.

Paisley Patton made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and one double.

As for St. David, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 16-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by nine runs or more this season.

On St. David's side, Paisley Gooding made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and not a single walk). Gooding has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025.

In other batting news, St. David got a massive performance out of Jasmine Wise, who went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Wise has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Hart, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and one double.

As of now, neither Duncan nor St. David have any future games scheduled.
