Baseball Game Preview: Turlock Bulldogs vs. Pitman Pride

For the second straight game, Turlock will face off against Pitman. The Bulldogs will square off against the Pride at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Turlock has seven straight wins, Pitman has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Turlock's victory against Pitman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Pride on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bulldogs have posted since March 21st.

For Pitman's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Way, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Turlock pushed their record up to 11-5-1 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.
