Logan County dropped their record down to 14-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's six-game streak of wins. They took an 11-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the South Warren Spartans. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Brady Hinton was cooking despite his team's loss, firing off two home runs and five RBI while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Lyndon Wilson, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one double and one RBI.
As for South Warren, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games.
