Softball Recap: Union Pines Vikings vs. Triton Hawks
Union Pines unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Triton Hawks on Tuesday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Union Pines got a good showing from Kaylee Wilder, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
