Basketball Recap: Calvary Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Olympia

After only eight points in their last contest, Calvary Christian Academy made sure to put some points up on the board against Olympia on Thursday. The Calvary Christian Academy Lions put the hurt on the Olympia Titans with a sharp 63-40 victory. With that win, the Lions brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.

Keeva Heggins continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last 14 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexis Brown, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 boards.

Calvary Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Olympia only pulled down nine offensive rebounds.

Despite the loss, Olympia still got an impressive performance from Ava Pazos, who went 6 of 11 en route to 18 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Pazos continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Makila Sims was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

Calvary Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Olympia, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Calvary Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 57-27 loss against Mainland on the 24th. As for Olympia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 47-36 victory against Windermere on the 24th.
