League recap: Sub-par week lands South Mecklenburg outside of North Carolina's top 25

4A Southwestern league recap: 5/21/12

With a rough week, South Mecklenburg dropped out of the state's top 25 rankings. South Mecklenburg fell from No. 24 to No. 29 after going 0-0 over the past week. The Sabres are ranked No. 1139 in the nation, and have an overal record of 15-8.

Dalton Eisenbath was the best pitcher in 4A Southwestern this week, leading Butler. He won zero games and struck out four batters.

The Bulldogs' pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 13 hits and one walks, both of which led the league. On the season, Butler has allowed just 173 hits, while striking out 146 batters. Matt Baltimore leads Butler with 49 strikeouts in 51 innings pitched.
