Basketball Recap: Jefferson County Takes a Loss

Jefferson County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 68-45 to the Altha Wildcats.

When it comes to explaining why Jefferson County lost, don't look at Xavier Miller. Despite the final result, he posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keion Enzor, who had seven points.

Jefferson County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Altha, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Jefferson County won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wakulla Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Altha, they will also get right back to it: they'll face off against Malone at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
