Huffman has gone a perfect 6-0 against Carver Birmingham recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Huffman Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the Carver Birmingham Rams at 5:00 p.m.

Huffman came up short against Fultondale on Friday, falling 11-1. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Huffman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drayden Craig, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

While Carver Birmingham didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 14-9 win over Fairfield on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rams.

The team relied heavily on Isaiah Simon, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, five RBI, and two runs. He is also on a roll when it comes to triples, as he's now hit at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ezekiel Woodside, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Huffman's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Carver Birmingham, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.

Monday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Huffman has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .466. However, it's not like Carver Birmingham struggles in that department as they've averaged .647. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Huffman was able to grind out a solid win over Carver Birmingham in their previous matchup back in March of 2024, winning 7-3. Will Huffman repeat their success, or does Carver Birmingham have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
