Basketball Game Recap: Kathleen Red Devils vs. Davenport Broncos

The Kathleen Red Devils had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 76-63 to Davenport on Tuesday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jeremy Nixon, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jerome Groves, who scored 17 points along with 9 rebounds.

Kathleen's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Davenport, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Kathleen will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Region at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Davenport, they will head out on the road to face off against McKeel Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
