Westfall has gone a perfect 10-0 against Paint Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Mustangs will challenge the Bearcats at 5:15 p.m. Westfall will be strutting in after a victory while Paint Valley will be coming in after a loss.
Westfall is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Huntington on Friday as they made off with a 15-1 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Mustangs with their most commanding win of the season.
Adrina Hicks made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Anna Snyder was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Kenzie Cook also deserves some recognition as she launched her first home run of the season.
Westfall kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Paint Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-4 to Unioto.
Paint Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delainey Mannion, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Kyla Littler was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Westfall and bumps their season record up to 8-6. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Paint Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Paint Valley's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Westfall has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Paint Valley, though, as they've been averaging only 4.1 strikeouts. Will Westfall keep running through batters, or will the Bearcats buck the trend?
Westfall beat Paint Valley 6-2 when the teams last played on April 9th. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
