Basketball Recap: Tabernacle Christian Falls Short of Crosspointe Christian Academy in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Tabernacle Christian can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 72-39 loss at the hands of the Crosspointe Christian Academy Panthers. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-15.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Crosspointe Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Coltenn Wagner, who en route to 25 points in addition to six assists and four steals. Crosspointe Christian Academy is undefeated when Wagner posts 25 or more points, but 8-11 otherwise. William Yeiter was another key player, to rack up 17 points and four steals.

Tabernacle Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. The victory got Crosspointe Christian Academy back to even at 11-11.

Tabernacle Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crosspointe Christian Academy, they will take on Suburban Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Crosspointe Christian Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
