Baseball Recap: Riceville Comes Up Short

Riceville suffered their closest defeat since June 19, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of the Nashua-Plainfield Huskies by a score of 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Huskies: they've now lost seven in a row.

Riceville's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11. As for Nashua-Plainfield, their win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-15.

Riceville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nashua-Plainfield, they will challenge South Winneshiek on Tuesday.
