Baseball Recap: Charleston Math & Science Takes a Loss

Charleston Math & Science's last matchup with Palmetto Scholars Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Tuesday. The Riptide came up short against the Phoenix, falling 17-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Riptide couldn't push the score so high this time.

Charleston Math & Science saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Flippin, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Charleston Math & Science's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4-1. As for Palmetto Scholars Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-4.

Coincidentally, Charleston Math & Science and Palmetto Scholars Academy will both be playing Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics the next time they take the field. The Phoenix will host the Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Riptide will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
