Volleyball Recap: James Monroe Beats Midland Trail for Their Fourth Straight Victory

James Monroe waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Midland Trail Patriots. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mavericks also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2023.

Aliyah Clarkson paced James Monroe's offense, picking up nine kills. Clarkson got some help from Skylar Clarkson and her 13 assists. Mya Dunlap controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

James Monroe's win bumped their record up to 16-7-1. As for Midland Trail, they moved to 4-3 with that defeat, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

James Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Liberty on the 27th. Hopefully Midland Trail paid attention to the Mavericks' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Mavericks at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
