Basketball Recap: Meadowcreek Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Meadowcreek has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a hard 52-36 fall against the Ramsay Rams on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 52nd in Georgia, while the Rams are ranked eighth in Alabama).

Despite the loss, Meadowcreek still got an impressive performance from Hady Diane, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points and eight boards. Another player making a difference was Jayson Fleming, who posted seven points and five rebounds.

Even though they lost, Meadowcreek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Meadowcreek's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-6. As for Ramsay, they pushed their record up to 20-7 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Meadowcreek will square off against Berkmar at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meadowcreek is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.9 points per game this season. As for Ramsay, they will face off against Carver Birmingham at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Carver Birmingham has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
