Basketball Recap: Triton Takes a Loss

Triton lost against Gloucester City back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Triton Mustangs took a 50-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gloucester City Lions. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gloucester City's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keegan Cohan led the charge by going 5 for 9 on his way to 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Flagg, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points.

Triton's loss dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Gloucester City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Triton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Deptford at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Gloucester City, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Haddonfield at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gloucester City is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.1 points per game this season.
