Soccer Recap: Central Takes a Loss

Despite a strong season so far, Central has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Park Hill South Panthers. While losing is never fun, Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri soccer rankings (they are ranked 70th, while Park Hill South are ranked 20th).

Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Park Hill South, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Central will face off against rival Liberty at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Park Hill South is set to square off against their familiar foe Staley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
