Volleyball Recap: Epiphany Falls to Jacksonville Christian Academy in First Game of Season

Epiphany had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Jacksonville Christian Academy Conquerors, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

While Epiphany was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Jacksonville Christian Academy's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-17, 25-23.

Anna Hodges had a dynamite game For Jacksonville Christian Academy., hitting 75% for six kills and 111 digs. That's the most kills Hodges has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Selma Scott, who had seven kills, four digs, and two aces.

Looking ahead, Epiphany will face off against Cape Fear Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jacksonville Christian Academy, they will host Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
