Case has no trouble against Seekonk

Recap: Case Cardinals vs. Seekonk Warriors

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bourne, the Case Cardinals were happy to have found some success on Thursday. Everything went their way against Seekonk as Case made off with a 60-39 victory. That looming 60-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Case yet this season.

Despite the loss, Seekonk still got an impressive performance from Lucas Pereira, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Pereira pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Pereira, who scored five points.

Case's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-3. As for Seekonk, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Case will finish 2023 at home by hosting Westport at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Massachusetts (Westport is ranked 80th, while Case is ranked 71st). Seekonk will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bourne at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
