Volleyball Recap: Manchester Beats Oak Hill for Their Third Straight Victory

Manchester hadn't done well against Oak Hill recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Squires came out on top in a nail-biter against the Golden Eagles, sneaking past 3-2. This was payback for the Squires, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Manchester was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (97-88), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 11-25, 12-25, 15-10.

Manchester's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marysa Stroud, who had nine digs and three aces. Stroud is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Stroud wasn't the only good server: Manchester was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The win (which was Manchester's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. As for Oak Hill, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Manchester didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Twin Lakes on the 23rd. As for Oak Hill, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Wabash on the 23rd.
