Baseball Game Preview: Granite City Warriors vs. Quincy Blue Devils

The Granite City Warriors will head out to square off against the Quincy Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Granite City has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Last Tuesday, Granite City came up short against O'Fallon and fell 7-2.

Granite City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zaiden Kelley, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Brenden Hard also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Quincy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-3 to Galesburg.

Nate Konrad was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

Granite City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Quincy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-10.

Granite City couldn't quite get it done against Quincy in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-1. Can the Warriors avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
