Basketball Recap: Gilmer Takes a Loss

Gilmer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 71-43 loss at the hands of the Pine Tree Pirates.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Pine Tree, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilmer will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against New Boston on Thursday. As for Pine Tree, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spring Hill at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
