Recap: Dawson Eagles vs. Shadow Creek Sharks
Even though the Dawson Eagles have not done well against the Shadow Creek Sharks recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Dawson snuck past Shadow Creek with a 42-36 victory. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 21 to 11 on the offensive boards, as Dawson did.
Dawson was led to victory by Kennedy Smith and Jaycee Ingram. Smith scored 12 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Ingram scored nine points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. Ingram is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.
Despite the loss, Shadow Creek saw an underclassman step up: Da'niyah Lewis scored 13 points along with six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Parks, who scored six points.
Dawson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which lines up perfectly with their 21-7 record this season. As for Shadow Creek, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-11.
