Volleyball Recap: Rahway Continues Home Dominance on Wednesday

Rahway hadn't done well against Summit recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Indians walked away with a 2-0 win over the Hilltoppers. For the Indians, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Hilltoppers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in November of 2024.

While Rahway won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17.

Nyasia Wynn paced Rahway's offense, picking up six kills. Wynn got some help from Jasmine Johnson and her 11 assists. Wynn was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Rahway's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-8. As for Summit, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rahway will face off against Hillside at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summit, they will square off against Linden at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
