Basketball Recap: Richwoods Takes a Loss

After flying high against Peoria last Monday, Richwoods came back down to earth. The Richwoods Knights fell to the Manual Rams 49-44. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Rams are ranked 137th).

Richwoods' loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Manual, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richwoods will head out to challenge Danville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Manual, they will head out on the road to square off against Normal Community at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
