There's no place like home for Mountain Ridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Boulder Creek Jaguars on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Mountain Lions have posted since March 20th.

Matthew Licardi spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on five hits.

Mountain Ridge's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Boulder Creek, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mountain Ridge will square off against Valley Vista at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Mountain Lions are facing the Monsoon at the right time seeing as the Monsoon are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Boulder Creek, they will take on Camelback at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Jaguars will also cruise into their next matchup with the timing on their side: the Spartans will have lost 14 straight heading into Tuesday's contest.
