Hoxie's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Manila, their victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Hoxie will challenge Sloan-Hendrix at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Sloan-Hendrix is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season. As for Manila, they will venture away from home to square off against Buffalo Island Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
