Volleyball Recap: Hoover Takes a Loss

Hoover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Torres Toros. The Patriots were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Toros earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Hoover started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 14-25, 25-23, 25-13, 15-8.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Torres, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-23.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Hoover will face off against rival Fresno at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Torres is set to challenge their familiar foe Roosevelt at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
