Volleyball Recap: Six Straight Road Wins for Hodgeman County

Hodgeman County hadn't done well against Bucklin recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Longhorns narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Red Aces 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Longhorns have posted since September 30th.

The match came down to the wire multiple times:two sets needed extra rallies to declare a winner. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 12-25, 29-27.

Emmerson Kirk and Madeline Bowman certainly did their best on Saturday to avoid the loss. Kirk had 14 digs and two aces, while Bowman had 13 digs and three assists. Kirk is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 14 or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

Hodgeman County's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-13. As for Bucklin, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.
