Football Game Preview: Platte Valley Broncos vs. Meeker Cowboys + How To Watch

The Platte Valley Broncos will square off against the Meeker Cowboys at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Platte Valley barely beat Highland the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Broncos put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 35-14 win on Friday. The victory was nothing new for the Broncos as they're now sitting on five straight.

Meanwhile, Meeker got themselves on the board against Grand Valley on Saturday, but Grand Valley never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cardinals 53-0. The Cowboys haven't had any issues with the Cardinals recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for Meeker came from Corbin Grant and Bryant Turner.

Meeker was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 338 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 158 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Meeker's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB six times. In that department, Samuel Conrado was the leader with two sacks.

Platte Valley now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Meeker, their record now sits at 7-2.
