Volleyball Recap: Kami Wemhoff Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Lincoln Southeast

Pius X won the last time they faced Lincoln Southeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Thunderbolts came out on top against the Knights by a score of 2-0.

Pius X got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kami Wemhoff out in front who had 12 digs and five assists. Those five assists gave Wemhoff a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitney Mertens, who had 13 digs.

Pius X's victory bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Lincoln Southeast, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-11.

Pius X didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Elkhorn South on the 4th. As for Lincoln Southeast, they will head out on the road to square off against Columbus on Thursday.
