A win for Niskayuna just wasn't in the cards on Thursday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt a 47-6 defeat at the hands of the Christian Brothers Academy Brothers. While losing is never fun, the Silver Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Brothers are ranked fifth).

A big part of Christian Brothers Academy's victory came down to the chemistry between Archie Jones and his top target Lucius Anderson. Jones threw for 368 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 15.3 yards per attempt while Anderson picked up 244 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Anderson showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 57 yards. A healthy portion of that aerial production (85 yards to be exact) also went to Amare (Pop) Coffil.

Niskayuna's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Christian Brothers Academy, the win for them keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

Niskayuna wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 17-13 defeat against Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake on the 19th. Christian Brothers Academy has also already played their next contest, a 27-19 victory against Shaker on the 18th.
