Cocoa and Astronaut are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cocoa Tigers will head out to face off against the Astronaut War Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cocoa has given up an average of 14.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Cocoa fell victim to Satellite and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Scorpions, falling 20-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their meetings with the Scorpions: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Astronaut was able to grind out a solid win over East River on Friday, taking the game 5-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the War Eagles.

Riley Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on three hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Astronaut's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Arielys Rosado, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Cocoa's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Astronaut, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.

Cocoa might still be hurting after the 22-3 defeat they got from Astronaut in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Cocoa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
