Basketball Recap: Catoosa Takes a Loss

Catoosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a blow against the Vinita Hornets, falling 61-23. The Indians were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-8.

When it comes to explaining why Catoosa lost, don't look at Lexi Buckmaster. Despite the final result, she posted seven points and eight boards. That's the most points Buckmaster has posted since back in December of 2024.

Catoosa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-21. As for Vinita, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Catoosa will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Miami at 2:30 p.m. Vinita does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
