Basketball Game Preview: Murray Spartans vs. Cottonwood Colts

The Murray Spartans will square off against the Cottonwood Colts at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Tuesday, Murray came up short against Jordan and fell 50-37. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their matchups with the Beetdiggers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Cottonwood entered their match against Jordan on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Cottonwood fell just short of Jordan by a score of 41-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Colts have suffered since December 30, 2023.

Cottonwood's defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-4. As for Murray, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.
