Baseball Preview: Las Plumas Thunderbirds vs. Downey Knights

The Las Plumas Thunderbirds are on the road again on Monday to play the Downey Knights at 1:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Las Plumas ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They blew past Live Oak 11-5.

Bryan Houghton made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (he also didn't allow any walks). Houghton has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances. Houghton was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with two RBI and a double.
