After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Athens, Wild Rose was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Port Edwards Blackhawks with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Wild Rose never let Port Edwards on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 27-25, 25-19.

Hayden Kleifgen and Evelyn Fletcher certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Kleifgen had 22 digs and one assist, while Fletcher had four digs and two aces. Kleifgen is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 20 or more in each of the last four games she's played. Kaelyn Green also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Wild Rose's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Port Edwards, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.

Wild Rose didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Pittsville on the 25th. As for Port Edwards, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Northland Lutheran on the 29th.
