Recap: Elyria Christian vs. Marion Warriors
Elyria Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Marion 50-48. Winning may never get old, but Elyria Christian sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Marion lost, one person who can't be blamed is Grace Hett. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hett has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Erin Regnier, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Elyria Christian is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elyria Christian will take on Centre at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Centre comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Marion, Marion and Council Grove will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
