Softball Recap: Libby Has No Trouble Against Whitefish

Libby came out on top against Whitefish on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run fifth inning. The Loggers put the hurt on the Bulldogs with a sharp 13-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Loggers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won four in a row.

Tessa Purdy was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Bently Houston was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Libby kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in seven consecutive games dating back to last season.

Libby's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Whitefish, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.
