Basketball Game Preview: Russellville Cyclones vs. Harrison Goblins

Russellville and Harrison are an even 4-4 against one another since December of 2014, but not for long. The Russellville Cyclones will welcome the Harrison Goblins at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Russellville has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while Harrison will arrive with three straight victories.

Last Tuesday, Russellville lost to Mountain Home at home by a 72-54 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cyclones can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 122nd, while the Bombers are ranked eighth).

Meanwhile, Harrison had just enough and edged Greenwood out 55-52 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Goblins have posted against the Bulldogs since January 14, 2017.

Harrison's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-8. As for Russellville, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

Russellville strolled past Harrison in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 48-31. Does Russellville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Harrison turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
