Baseball Game Preview: Plymouth Panthers vs. Waupun Warriors

Plymouth hasn't had much luck against Waupun recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Panthers will challenge the Warriors. Waupun took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Plymouth, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Plymouth turned things around against North Fond du Lac on Thursday. They never let the Orioles get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. Considering the Panthers have won nine contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Waupun couldn't beat Winnebago Lutheran Academy on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fourth inning. The Warriors fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 8-7. The Warriors' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Waupun got a good showing from Emmett Hull, who tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Hull gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in April.

At the plate, Logan Prall was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Richter, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run.

The victory got Plymouth back to even at 12-12-1. As for Waupun, their loss dropped their record down to 19-7.

Plymouth might still be hurting after the 12-2 defeat they got from Waupun in their previous meeting last Thursday. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
