Softball Recap: McNeil Comes Up Short

McNeil was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Round Rock Dragons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-0 back in March.

McNeil saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nevaeh Green, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

McNeil's loss dropped their record down to 4-12-1. As for Round Rock, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McNeil will square off against Stony Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Round Rock, they will challenge Round Rock Westwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
