Basketball Recap: Creighton Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Benson last Tuesday, Creighton Prep came back down to earth. The Creighton Prep Junior Jays fell 53-44 to the Millard North Mustangs on Friday. The Junior Jays have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

When it comes to explaining why Creighton Prep lost, don't look at Torran Carter-Brown. Despite the final result, he went 5 for 7 en route to 11 points. Shelden Golliday also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season.

It was another big night for Derek Rollins, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds for Millard North. Another player making a difference was Major Mosser, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 14 points and six boards.

Creighton Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Millard North, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-4.

Creighton Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 79-77 loss against Lincoln Southwest on the 4th. As for Millard North, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 99-27 victory against Bryan on the 1st.
