Basketball Recap: Marion H Piles Up the Points Against HEARTS for Jesus Christ

On Thursday, the Marion H Hawks blew past the HEARTS for Jesus Christ Guardians, posting a 56-26 victory. Given the Hawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Guardians are ranked 654th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

HEARTS for Jesus Christ's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Carenna Lewis, who posted six points and five steals, and Rayna Kawczak, who put up 15 points and three steals.

Marion H's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-6.

Marion H will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harvest Temple Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on February 7th. HEARTS for Jesus Christ has already played their next game, a 44-9 win against Horizon Science Academy on the 24th.
