Softball Preview: Addison Knights vs. Avoca Central Tigers

Addison stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. Everything went their way against Arkport Central as Addison made off with a 14-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Addison considering their two-run performance the game before.

Sadie Strauss made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Strauss was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hadleigh Watson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. Sidney Ribble was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, after constant struggles on the road, Avoca Central has finally found some success away from home. They fell just short of Campbell-Savona by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday.
