Baseball Recap: Southwood Knights vs. Eastern Comets
Southwood extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 14 on Friday, dropping their season record down to 0-13 in the process. They came up short against the Eastern Comets, falling 26-7. If the Knights were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Comets when the teams met back in May of 2018, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Southwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dalton Barney, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

On Eastern's side, Alister Shrock was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, six RBI, and three runs. Those six RBI gave Shrock a new career-high. Kaleb Hurt was another key player, getting on base in four of his six plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Looking ahead, Southwood will venture away from home to take on Maconaquah at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Knights' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Braves have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season. As for Eastern, they will welcome Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
