Basketball Game Preview: Whiteland Warriors vs. Greenwood Woodmen

Whiteland and Greenwood are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. After both having extra time off, both will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenwood took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Whiteland, who comes in off a win.

Whiteland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed by Anderson to the tune of 72-43 two weeks ago. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted since January 30, 2024.

Meanwhile, Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost to Triton Central at home by a 59-40 margin. The Woodmen were down 48-28 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Whiteland, they moved to 5-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Whiteland couldn't quite finish off Greenwood in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 and fell 59-57. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Greenwood's Keyara Johnson, who went 6 of 12 en route to 19 points.
