Soccer Recap: Orion/Sherrard Has No Trouble Against Galesburg

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Moline United, Orion/Sherrard was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 4-1 margin over the Galesburg Silver Streaks. The result was nothing new for Orion/Sherrard, who have now won 16 matchups by three goals or more so far this season.

Orion/Sherrard's victory bumped their record up to 21-4. As for Galesburg, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Orion/Sherrard will host Richwoods at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Orion/Sherrard's defense better be ready for this one: Richwoods have averaged an impressive 3 goals per game this season. As for Galesburg, they will square off against Dunlap at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dunlap will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Galesburg surely won't give up without a fight.
